Design notes
Cottage pools hide in the garden rather than dominate it. Look for a modest rectangle or plunge pool edged with brick or flagstone, borders of roses, lavender and catmint running right up to the coping, an arbour or picket fence for structure, and a bench under a tree. Dark plaster helps the water read as a reflecting pond.
